The
Sextant Group announced
that Craig Park FSMPS, Associate AIA, has joined the national independent
technology consulting firm as Principal Consultant and has opened
a new Midwest
office for the firm.
With over 30 years in the building industry, Park is an award-winning
and
nationally-recognized thought leader on topics of strategic marketing,
management, and collaborative technology applications. Park is as
well-known in architectural circles as he is throughout the audiovisual
industry. For the last four years he served as Chief Marketing Officer
for the top-10 international architecture and engineering firm Leo A
Daly, and
from 2004-2006 in a similar capacity for architects, Harley Ellis
Devereaux.
His prior experience includes leadership roles in manufacturing, systems
integration, and technology consulting companies, where he led more than
400
projects in the higher education, technology, healthcare, and corporate
environments.
“Craig Park is one of those rare industry stars, known for his
creativity,
energy, and integrity, as well as for his ability to produce exceptional
results.” says Mark Valenti, CEO of The Sextant Group. “While Craig’s
most
recent work has been at the highest level marketing of professional
architectural services, his roots (and heart) lie in the audiovisual
industry.
“We expect to see
a significant
impact on our ability to better serve our clients, especially in the
Midwest,”
Valenti continues. “Craig’s role will embrace marketing, business
development,
and project leadership responsibilities from St. Louis to Denver and
Minneapolis to New Orleans.” The new
office is based in Omaha, where The
Sextant Group has been especially active since 2004. The new office is
the firm’s seventh.
Park’s
credentials are broad
and deep—he has served on the national board of directors of InfoComm
International and currently serves on the association’s Leadership Development
Council. He is an associate member of the American Institute of
Architects (AIA), and a member of both Construction Writers
Association (CWA)
and National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA). He is Fellow and
Past National President of the Society for Marketing Professional Services
(SMPS) and currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees of the
SMPS
Foundation.
