CEDAR RAPIDS, IA--The Connected Buildings Conference will make its NSCA Expo 2007 debut in Orlando, FL on March 16 at the Orange County Convention Center. Serving as a forum for architects, designers, building owners, facility managers, and IT decision makers with an interest in learning more about technical services offered for today's buildings, the conference will focus on how to best utilize technology to create "intelligent" buildings. Conference attendees will additionally discover how technology can generate additional revenue streams, improve health, safety, and security, enable workplace productivity, and reduce building lifecycle costs.
The Connected Buildings Conference is endorsed by Hanley Wood, and promoted by Bosch Security Systems, its Platinum Sponsor. At the conference, Architect editor Ned Cramer will moderate a panel discussion of leading industry experts on technology
. The discourse will center on the technology-enabled architect and delve into topics that will help shape the commercial construction industry as advanced technology becomes commonplace.
Jeff Thorsteinson of the Technology Resources Company will also teach a course entitled "The Intelligent Building Lives", which will take a comprehensive look at the types of technologies that are being applied to building management.
The Connected Buildings Conference offers one day of comprehensive education, a tour of the Intelligent Building Showcase, and an Expo floor filled with today's most innovative companies working in the commercial electronic systems industry.
