MINNEAPOLIS, MN—Chief Manufacturing
has launched the Certified Partner
Program, which offers interactive product
and installation training to improve
customers’ business results, differentiate
their business, and improve overall
mount product knowledge. Customers
completing the course will receive
exclusive benefits from Chief as well as
earn InfoComm CTS RUs.
The program features over 13
hours of content and 46 videos featuring
Chief products and installation
solutions divided into two tracks,
one for those who install or deal with
technical aspects, and one for dealers
or sales people focusing on configuring
solutions or selling product.

RTI In The Zone
SHAKOPEE, MN—Remote Technologies
Incorporated (RTI) has introduced the
Integration Zone, the official forum for
the RTI professional integrator. Integration
Zone is a password-protected,
dealer-only forum with monitoring and
participation by RTI staff. Dealers can
exchange information, system files,
tips and tricks, as well as discuss
troubleshooting and system-design
questions with a network of RTI experts
and dealers. In addition, integrators
can submit requests for new drivers to
be developed by RTI.
AMX Automation
Moves
RICHARDSON, TX—AMX has established
in-concert partnerships with building
management device manufacturer
FieldServer Technologies and energy
measurement company DENT Instruments.
AMX will implement Field-
Server’s Gateway as a bridge between
AMX platforms and protocols found in
building management such as BACnet
and LonWorks to enable interaction
with HVAC, lighting, security, and fire
systems. DENT’s PowerScout power
meters will escalate AMX platform’s efficiency,
which is already LEED points
contributing, by providing accurate and
timely energy consumption reporting
on whole building and branch circuits.
EAGAN, MN—SCN editor Kirsten Nelson’s
alma mater, Eagan High School in Eagan,
MN, is using a Broadcast Pix Slate 1000
live video production system as the cornerstone
of its HD production curriculum.
Alpha Video of Edina, MN installed the
Slate 1000 in the school’s video production
control suite, adjacent to its dedicated
television studio, where it is employed
daily to teach production skills and support
many academic programs through
the use of video.
