WESTCHESTER, PA---Advanced Audio Visual partnered with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for a fund-raising event called "Bowl Over Breast Cancer." The bowling event brought together Advanced Audio Visual employees and family members and was coordinated by the recently established Advanced Audio Visual Social Awareness Committee. It was held in October at the Palace Bowling and Entertainment Center in Downingtown, PA.
Alicyn Frenchman, sales engineer of Advanced Audio Visual and board member of the Advanced Audio Visual Social Awareness Committee, knows first-hand how devastating breast cancer can be for a family
. Her mother-in-law, Sheila Frenchman of Westchester County, N.Y., recently battled the disease and came out a survivor.
Each year, more than 213,000 women and men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the U.S. and more than 41,000 die from the disease. With the help of community partners like Advanced Audio Visual, the Komen Foundation is able to support the fight against breast cancer in more than 15,000 communities around the country.
