X2O’s Xpresenter platform is a complete suite of applications designed to streamline the process of creating and managing content on a digital signage network. Using PowerPointbased templates, Xpresenter significantly cuts the time required to create fresh content. The main components of X2O ’s system include:
• Xpresenter Authoring Station (Digital Signage Authoring Tool based on Microsoft PowerPoint)
• Xpresenter Player (Graphics and Video Playout Station)
• Xscheduler (Content Scheduling Tool)
• Remote Management Tools (Multi- Site Content Management System) THE PROS The easy-to-use templates certainly make it simple to change content quickly, but it’s the integration that shines. By integrating with a Newmarket Delphi interface, we are able to take meeting room reservations and have them show up automatically on our room signs. With 14 rooms, and more coming, this saves a lot of time. Our poker managers are also able to quickly upload Excel spreadsheets via a web interface to display poker standings as often as they come in.
THE CONS The initial integration with the Delphi interface was not an easy thing. The raw data provided by the Delphi system had to be figured out, and then trial and error with X2O staff to get it finally working right. Educating our group sales staff to understand the settings presented a learning curve that took some time for everyone to adjust to. THE APPLICATION Each of our seven casinos throughout Oklahoma has their own Xpresenter player for displaying “promotions.” Our marketing department provided an approved display template to each property. Then with the addition of a custom X2O web interface, each property is able to quickly change elements specific to their location — drawing results, pictures of winning guests, food specials, and regional promotions. THE RESULT Before X2O and the web interface, regional promotions were not possible. We only had one person that was assigned to this task among their other responsibilities, and there just wasn’t time available to get targeted marketing for all aspects of the company. Now each property is empowered to provide specific information in a timely fashion. We estimate it would have taken the employment of one other person to manage all of this without the help of the Delphi integration, Excel/poker updates, and the promotions web interface.
