Pittsburgh, PA--The Sextant Group has opened a new office in the Washington, DC area. Sextant's specialized areas include higher education, corporate, institutional, sports and performing arts. The Sextant Group also operates offices in Pittsburgh, PA and Phoenix, AZ. The new office is headed by William Valenti, a professional engineer and former Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Valenti brings more than two decades of experience in facility management, design and construction, including comprehensive planning, facility systems analysis and design, energy management, sustainable design, security and surveillance, repair and construction programming, and construction management

Notable projects utilizing the Sextant Group designs include Phoenix Municipal Stadium in Phoenix, AZ; the new headquarters of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System in Columbus, OH; and the Library of the 21st Century at Santa Clara University in California.
