Kramer Electronics has acquired Sierra Video Systems, a matrix switcher and router manufacturer based in northern California. The new company will operate as Sierra Video Systems, a subsidiary of Kramer Electronics U.S.
Eric Berliner, who will remain as president of Sierra Video Systems, said, "This acquisition is the next logical step to the very successful strategic alliance that Sierra and Kramer announced more than two years ago. I am very excited about this merger of two very dynamic and well-known brands in the pro A/V, presentation and broadcast industries. Sierra will continue to operate as in the past, while we study the synergies between the two companies."

Business will continue without interruption from Sierra's original location in Grass Valley, CA. Customers and suppliers can still reach the new company through its existing channels.
