Biamp Systems To File Appeal
May 18, 2009

BEAVERTON, OR--As expected, the final judgment was issued by the United States District Court of Central Utah in Salt Lake City on April 20, 2009, and as previously communicated, will have no material effect on Biamp System’s operations, current products, services or technologies.

Biamp Systems maintains it had no knowledge of any misappropriation of the ClearOne Communications code, and will immediately file an appeal.

“Biamp has a long history of continuous innovation. This can be seen in all our products, including our proprietary TrueSound AEC algorithm,” said Ralph Lockhart, President, Biamp Systems

. “As a company we would not, nor do we need to, resort to misappropriation of intellectual property to advance our technologies or gain market share.”

The judgment does not affect any of Biamp’s products, or technologies including the Biamp TrueSound™ AEC algorithm used in Biamp conferencing products including AudiaFLEX, NexiaTC and NexiaVC. Biamp customers will not experience any changes in the service they have come to expect from the company.
