Kramer Electronics Acquires Sierra Video Systems

Kramer Electronics has announced the acquisition of Sierra Video Systems, a northern California based company specializing in the design, manufacture and distribution of high-quality matrix switchers and routers for the high-end professional AV, broadcast, military and staging/rental and presentation marketplaces.

The new company will operate as Sierra Video Systems, a subsidiary of Kramer Electronics US.

Eric Berliner, president, will remain in that capacity with Sierra Video Systems. This acquisition is the next logical step to the very successful strategic alliance that Sierra and Kramer announced more than two years ago. I am very excited about this merger of two very dynamic and well-known brands in the ProAV, presentation and broadcast industries. Sierra will continue to operate as in the past while we study the synergies between the two companies

I wonder if they survived the crisis. I'm sure had they known about the crisis they would have never bought it. I've seen an interesting video about business of today (downloaded it from torrent SE http://www.torrentbasket.com ). Some of the companies had taugh times especially if they had big expenditures before it.
